Explicit Consent — Sharing Profile Information
Version 1.2
I have read the Privacy Notice. Accordingly:
When I open the app, my Instagram username, name and photo will automatically be shown to app users near me.
I give my explicit consent to this and I understand that:
- "Near me" means users within about 100 meters who have the app open at that moment (or have turned on "Stay visible when the screen is off").
- My exact location, distance or a map is never shown to any user; others only see a "very near" or "near" label.
- I appear in the list while I have the app open. I stay visible with my screen off only if I turn on "Stay visible when the screen is off" with a separate explicit consent; while that feature is off, nobody can see me in the list while the app is closed.
- This consent is asked once; it is not asked again each time I open the app.
- I can switch to invisible mode in Settings at any time. While invisible, I cannot see the list either.
- I can withdraw this consent at any time in Settings → My consents. Once withdrawn, my profile is not shown to anyone.
- Without this consent I cannot use the app's core feature; I can delete my account at any time.
